Hi guys,
So at the end of October I sold a Canon camera on my Ebay account. I then sent the camera using Evri tracked delivery, who confirmed that the item was delivered (on 11/11) and sent a photo of the delivered package at the delivery address.
Shortly after, the buyer messages me to say that the item was not received, and that the photo sent by Evri was not taken at their property. I do all I can to help the buyer, who left negative feedback on my account (which ebay subsequently removed at my request), and I don't hear from him again.
Over a month later (24/12), I receive a payment dispute for said item, which I challenge and provide supporting documentation (tracking info, photo received from evri). Another month passes and I receive the disappointing news from Ebay that the dispute has been settled in the buyer's favor and that the fee will be deducted from my funds. My account summary now reads -640 and says that my Natwest account will be charged on 31/1; just two days from now.
So I'm a camera down, and soon to be £640 out of pocket, despite having followed the guidelines, providing tracking info with delivery and responding in a timely, respectful manner to the seller's disputes, with supporting information. Ebay have said that I can dispute this decision if I disagree, but when I contact Ebay via their automated assistant, they say that this decision is final and thus cannot be challenged.
What else can I do at this point? I would greatly appreciate your advice, fellow Ebayers!
Cheers,
Harry
