I had recently not sold anything for over a week so thought i would just delist and then relist then, when doing this i had noticed that Ebay had changed my postage without my say so (so might explain why no sales) to Evrie!! how dare they!! i had an Evrie parcel come to me yesterday from an item i had ordered on amazon and they said on the order details they had handed it to me, errrm no they had not, it was just basically chucked on my front lawn, its a good job i live in a safe area, and was not even at home!! EBAY DO NOT TRY AND PUSH THIS RUBBISH COURIER OR YOU ARE GOING TO GET INTO ALOT OF BOTHER WHEN IT COMES TO A WHOLE LOAD OF REFUNDS!! what a completely stupid move!!

It's hard to fathom why some delivery drivers are really good and some are really bad - I suppose it reflects society.
Royal Mail, DX, Yodel, are all good in our area, we find that thanking them, popping out when we see them arrive and taking the package from them at the van and taking a general interest in their lives goes a long way to cementing relationships with them.
They all get some awful people who treat them with contempt, one lady who delivers was in tears the other week when a customer berated her for being female and that it shouldn't be allowed that she was taking work from her male counterpart.
What he did not know was this lady was a single mum, whose husband had recently died and she took on her husbands job to keep her head above water !
People need to recognise these drivers are people with real lives !

Indeed, everyone should treat people with respect and kindness, not just delivery drivers, but in retail, on the phone to businesses, and closer to home, it wouldn't go amiss for some posters on here to be a bit more respectful and kind! There are often too many assumptions.

Lol well i got a slap in the face today. I have been using inpost recently cuz evri was slow. They use yodel for final mile. They lost 2 of the packages so did my usual packlink claim and both got refused as Inpost doesn't cover jumpstart kits. Ill just go back to using evri. Thing is if the item goes missing i get the full cost of the sale and ebay gets 0% anyway.

jumpstart kit?

wow i need to go and check my payments out then now , and see if they have still charged me to send with Evri, as i have still been sending with royal mail and entering the RM tracking number!!

not if i had been dishonest and said i had not even had the item as they said that they had actually handed the item to the resident but they had no proof as there was no photo included!

yeah just noticed how to change the simple post thing in settings or what ever its called and removed Evri from it now, so hopefully i wont get caught out again.

Those small battery packs that u can jump start your car with. Very handy lol. I bought a joblot off temu and they been selling well. Obv Evri is great and awful depending on a flip of the coin so i used inpost one week when all my evri packets got held up. All packets now delivered. 2 went missing at Evri, 2 at inpost. Bought all labels through packlink. Evri paid up the full compensation (£25 + postage label) for both as they usually do. I assumed inpost would too. I got an email saying they wont as they do not cover batteries etc. Fair enough but they cost an extra pound and i would have had an extra £50 if i hadnt used them. Plus they were just as slow. I'm just tweaking different couriers for different items now. My cheaper items im using royal mail. It's a no brainer as its same price to ship to the channel islands etc. Plus I was a postie 14 years and, as horrible as i think the company is, the posties do a good job. 90% of my 2nd class large letters land. More expensive items I'm using Evri Next Day cuz its kinda amazing how much more Evri care when its a next day item. That label seems to only appear if you buy before 12 tho but ur package fires down the country lol. Obv RM tracked is a great service as well but i cant be bothered going to the counters. I thought they were making package postboxes? I am absolutely avoiding yodel due to how bad things are there and personal experience when items keep going out for delivery for days in a row. Tbf tho theyve slashed their drivers pay as bad as evri.
