Ebay was always heavily weighted in favour of the Buyers, but this new mad rule thats coming in next month about having to wait two days after delivery is confirmed to get paid is simply beyond the pale.
And sometimes delivery conformation never comes, apparently in that situation we have to wait 14 days to get our money.
This is disgusting and completely nuts. A self-destructive move from Ebay.

Sometimes chat really won’t cut it, and a transcript of the call would be helpful, with CS telling constant untruths and making things up the way they do.

eBay could easily solve the bad feedback issue on these boards by listening to their member's and addressing the problem !
Slow payments are Not cool and = A LOT OF VERY UNHAPPY PEOPLE NOW !

Agreed.
Slow payment, having to pay a bit extra to buy = very unhappy users.

A week isn't so bad but it's still 2 more days before i get the money for what i sold on the 4th before all this started, bleep (will save the bot's feelings) ridiculous

Sure equals a recipe for disaster !

Slow payment, having to pay a bit extra to buy and mandatory SD = what users?

I'm starting to think that a bot is management 😂

It must have been seriously malfunctioning when it came up with this daft idea ! 😂😂😂

I have honestly tried to think of one positive to these changes and can't find one.
Longer to get paid, extra charges to buy.
It really is a mess.

Don't forget that bots are Programmed.

I think greed is management, seeing all the changes through the lens of greed and it all makes sense, in fact its the only thing that explains the changes and fits perfectly.

Well someone clearly doesn't have a clue or is deliberately trying to sabotage eBay !... Probably the owners of Vinted ! lol

I agree.
Greed and wanting to have as much control over buyers and sellers options as possible.
19-02-2025 9:23 PM
Greed only works for the seriously smart/sneaky. Do you get the impression we are dealing with either of those here?
What I'm seeing is what happens when someone thinks they are smarter than they actually are. Things go to *bleep*, rapidly.

I guess from a shareholder's perspective do they want a long term viable business or an out of touch mess ripe for disruption by someone that puts the customer (buyer or seller) interests first.
19-02-2025 9:28 PM
I would have thought that a shareholder would be savvi enough money wise to see that by losing buyers and sellers wouldn't take long to effect the money they receive.

I do think (and hope) that ebay's greed has back-fired on them, the 3 new changes announced at a similar time, all bad for private sellers. I can't believe how they demonstrated their greed so brazenly, they could have spread the changes out, so yes not so smart, by letting their greed off the leash, they have shown they are blinded and lead by greed and made changes too close together.
19-02-2025 9:31 PM
Absolutely.
Or they think that users don't have the intelligence to see through these changes.
19-02-2025 9:34 PM
So true.
To many changes to quickly has affected to many people whether buyers, sellers, or both.
