Ebay was always heavily weighted in favour of the Buyers, but this new mad rule thats coming in next month about having to wait two days after delivery is confirmed to get paid is simply beyond the pale.

And sometimes delivery conformation never comes, apparently in that situation we have to wait 14 days to get our money.  

This is disgusting and completely nuts. A self-destructive move from Ebay.

They are i asked in chat why my refunds for overpaid postage were coming out of available balance instead of the pending funds as they promised he didn't have clue what i was on about, passed me to a so called specialist who was just as bad. When i eventually got through to him it was "i will pass your message on" to who? another person who knows nothing?

True. Once delivery is confirmed eBay does give a payment date for the funds release but I too have found that the funds have been released day or more after the date given for the funds release.

one thing I have been doing which is making things a little eaiser. Is Going off on time away and pausing all sales, so as to allow time for everything to catch up fund wise before starting the selling again.

I can’t wait to get rid of my inventory, because I am on edge constantly.

I am not giving up far from it. I just want to clear my inventory and then waiting to see how everything plays out.

Its bad and stressful waiting for the next bomb shell that inevitably comes with eBay.

Today  for example I got an email regarding Simple delivery. Just a general email outlining all the good and benefits of using it. But obviously neglecting the down sides of course. 
So yeah they have definitely rolled it out now. And for the time being it’s still optional but for how long I don’t know hence the rush to clear the inventory.

None of them have a clue. They employ people all over the world that have not clue how thinks work in the UK, and sound like robots reading it off a script. None of them are specialist they are sitting in their beds making things up. They do nothing, they are all making out were are idiots.

Same here am bundling my stuff in lots not many single listings left on now. And it's selling too. But it's a panic to do because i'm trying to do it all before the buyer fee is put on (not on collectables yet) as well as forced SD. Payments are coming through for tracked

Some on here say its two days that is not true. I have items that have not tracked as not scanned by Royal Mail and my hand delivery item I was told wont be paid for 30 days. They dont believe your feedback as proof of delivery.

The only way feedback will count is at end of month we will be paid 24 hours after feedback for items sent untracked under £10 value

Your comment re the two days payment after delivery being 'no way' is incorrect.  Like all things it will vary for different reasons but certainly in my case that is how it happened.  Item was delivered on the 10th and the money was in my e bay balance on the 12th.  I withdrew it and it was in my bank on the 13th.  (They only say it will be in your e bay balance two days later).  So to say it is not true is actually an untruth!  You have also been told many many times that the money will be paid 14 days later if not shown as delivered.  (I have one of those waiting at the moment)   Maybe instead of being a broken record you should try reading and digesting the information you are given, both on these threads and by e bay (although i admit that is not the simplest thing to do)

Yes its not true, you have been very lucky to get funds in 2 days in reality its not happened in my case, and the ones that were not tracked by Royal Mail I have been told 30 days,.

Dont tell me how to run my life, I am only given the facts of what has happened to me. I hope it does never happen to you,  have to wait more than 2 days for your money, then you will start to moan. 

I have never been told it was 14 days I have called them on the phone its 30 days!

I am not being told that I need to digest the information I am giving the truth out here.

I think something may be getting list in translation here.

I doubt anyone thinks you are lying when you say you have been told 30 days by eBay CS.

The problem is, that a number of people here know that eBay CS are either untrained or trained to give disinformation. Whichever of those 2 it is, what they say nearly always tends to be wrong.

Onf of the mentors here even goes as far as giving specific time advice so you have a chance of speaking with Dublin CS. The rest being inferior.

Feedback should be proof to a certain degree. Should it not, feedback in which the buyer is expressing how much they value and are satisfied with the item and how the transaction and delivery went great and as expected. That to me should count towards a delivery confirmation.

Then again there is a fine line in which feedback can be brought and faked.

Hence why it is probably not accepted for delivery confirmation.

From my perspective these are the factors that have to be taken into account.

If we lived in a perfect world and everyone was honest. Feedback probably would be enough but since we don’t live in that kind of world. It’s understandable why eBay would be wary to accept it a proof of delivery.

I'm not siding with them. Far from it. I’m just trying to be realistic about it. That’s all.

I would love for it to be any different but the facts are facts unfortunately.

Recommended to arrange a callback early in the morning when the call centre in Ireland wakes up. They tend to be more knowledgeable, if you get them.

Its not misinformation its fact I am giving and for the decent people on here are happy with what I am saying because they agree with me . 

Well I hope you carry on getting your money in 2 days, but I am only giving out the facts I dont lie about things as you suggest. 

If you are told 30 days on the phone that's what I have been told. I hope Royal Mail does not loose your items and the tracking has not been updated like me.

The real problem here is that eBay have copied Vinted's policy but omitted the key ability for buyers to personally release funds to sellers and instead rely on automated systems outside of eBay's control, this is obviously going to cause no end of problems and a horrible experience for sellers.

delivery as successful buyers should claim their losses from couriers. It's
a great way to force deliveries to be marked correctly. If the couriers
can't prove it's delivered the seller can claim it's lost even when it's
not. Either way the seller will always get their money back.

Well eBay will have to recruit more customer service staff as sellers blow
up their phones. That'll make them spend some if the interest they've made
holding onto sellers money.

It depends on the value of the item. Nobody is paying for tracked postage on a £2, £5 or even sometimes a £10 item.

And it's the seller responsibilty to refund the buyer and make the claim with the courier, not the buyers. You are the one with the contract with said courier, not the buyer.

Well among all the back and forth bickering. I deduced we up the s creak without a paddle for various reasons which all stem from eBay changing everything that wasn’t broken, worked fine, suited everyone and their needs cause it was flexible and now that’s all gone. And the reality is this is the way it’s going to be for the time being. Just to be perfectly blunt about it. EBay won’t change it back because they are out of touch and or don’t just care as long as they make money that’s good enough for them and screw the labourers helping them in their accent before there inevitable decent. Because I can guarantee this will come back to bite them on their bottom.
What I have done to try and adapt somewhat to the new environment.

Ive changed postage so that all items are now tracked 24 with the Royal Mail. And that way then I’ll get a delivery confirmation and a sort of quick release of the funds owed to me.

is it flawless no! Far from it. As it’s been consistently out of sync from the off. Yeah I do get the confirmation of the delivery but it can be a day or so late on eBay.

On the Royal Mail tracking it will show as having been delivered but will take a few hours to a day or so for eBay to catch up. And get the funds release ball rolling.

I have done this to close the window between me and the buyer into a tight space with very little wiggle room for a scam to be tried on me.

But as an extra precaution I have been pausing sales here and there, to allow the funds to catch up.

I am clearing my inventory and holding off selling until things have settled.

For everyone else. Yeah I understand what is kinda working for me won’t always work the same for you.

This is just me attempting to figure it all out and try an adapt as best as I can.

But it’s bad. I know I’m probably going to rub people up the wrong way.

I am only accepting itsas much as I am able to tolerate it and will be happy when I can relax and leave off selling until it’s calmed down and eBay have come down from being right up where the monkey keeps it’s nuts.
