Hi, its not pension payday for me until 21st and money is getting thin but not impossible, but its just dawned on me that I'm going to have to cover all the postal charges until ebay choose to release the buyer's payment to me.
I'm tempted to think the seller's fees were more beneficial than 'selling for free' because i've got to find about £15 worth of post tomorrow. Thanks eBay.

This is correct as long as you have no 'available balance' to cover the postage costs

That's very gracious of them.
Still an effing joke of a policy change though.

Yep, correct, and therefore, no waiting at all for any payouts to cover a postage cost, excellent !

Sorry i've just clicked on something that resolved the query or whatever.
My issue is I like to support my local post office, not accept eBay delays by routing and paying them to deliver the package. I am in control and have never had delays or lost mail and it has never damaged my 100% positive profile.

As long as you have no balance, if you do, it comes off that.
I withdraw my money as soon as I can. I had a couple of sales the other day, and the postage labels for those just put my balance into negative (so basically it did come off my held funds).

It gave me a bit of a thrill using MY money that Ebay are holding from me (because I sold items abroad with no tracking) to buy further postage labels. Negative balance is the future baby!! 😂

I agree with you and I suspect many others do as well
