Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?
Solved! Go to Solution.

I'm having exactly same problem on all 3 of my accounts. Contacted eBay 7am & said they would get back to me, nothing yet. I need to reduce the shipping on several orders, no way to do that & obviously the buyers don't want to pay. I spent 15 mins with eBay on the phone with 2 people trying to work around it & both agreed something had gone wrong.

If this is the case i feel very let down. The duty of care towards me from ebay as a loyal ebayer for 23 years has been nill - no announcement, no comms, no reassurance.
This is outragous, why hasnt there been an over-arching 'send to all' email from ebay? It would 'dispel' rumours, perhaps put our minds at rest . COMMUNICATING is good and helps all of us. The irony is that ebay base themselves on a platform where constant feedback and intelligent comments to improve the service and maintain a kind an respectful palce to trade, collect, sell, whatever.
This - mainly driven by buyer / seller feedback! Yet when things are challenging THEIR END things become unsure & badly managed - we hear *nothing*

There's some pretty dumb stuff coming from across the pond and now more....

I asked via "X" and inbetween the sheets of waffle got this:
Recently our Tech teams have determined that the invoice option is no longer available due to compatibility updates within our system. This change was made to ensure a more streamlined and efficient process.

We are all loving this more streamlined and efficient process lol - seriously I hope they incorporate a way to combine invoices with simple delivery - if an items weight and sized are uploaded when listing this should be possible.

It will be impossible simply due to the fact the seller doesn't have control of the postage choice.
The buyer selects from the options E.I. (sorry, I can't keep calling it A.I, seems wrong) give them.
eBay did announce that sellers will have options but allowed a break out clause for themselves.
They had to as they advertised that the buyer chose.
How can both choose?

Yes you're right but can't see how else they could do it
04-03-2025 6:43 PM
yes but if AI knows the weight and and size of the items it should be able to combine them and work out if they could fit in shoebox for example - not rocket science really and if AI couldn't achieve that then it's not that intelligent is it

Got the same problem losing customers there cancelling orders
you care them extras and done provide the revive your becoming a second rate company
GET IT SORTED NOW
Don't give poor excuses

That's the simple side of it.
What about fragile items?
Things that have to be sent in parcel sizes, but aren't that heavy.
They have to be packed to survive sorting/transit with parcels that can be far heavier. Upto 2kg for small, more for medium.
How does EI account for that? Considering how well the rest of the rollout has gone I don't have high hopes for them pulling this off.
04-03-2025 6:55 PM
Yes you are right of course - it all means ebay giving some leeway to the seller to set parameters.
04-03-2025 7:05 PM
Well, at least I'm not the only one. been trying to follow the directions and been beating myself up cos I couldn't find the "Revise Invoice" tab. and assumed I must be doing something wrong. All I wanted to do was add US postage to a sold item from the UK. Is cancelling and relisting, and ending when the buyer makes their same offer a solution (painful as it is!)

Has anyone noticed the party going on over at gumtree?
05-03-2025 12:01 AM
Imagine several online selling platforms may be in party mood with ebay having a few problems and single-handedly damaging their own platform because of unbridled and out of control greed.
Latest glich: search results are getting messed up, started happening yesterday. A search that usually brings up thousands of items says 'no items found'!

I’m affected too but as usual eBay do nothing!
