Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

The new rules from 17th March include them changing things without notice. It covers most things to cover them

One of my buyers (very few now) asked to combine and i removed the listings he wanted and did a single combined listing just for him with correct postage and he only paid 1 x 75p. However most buyers are just as confused as we are and buy them all singly and i have to refund postage on each one which Ebay kindly take from my available balance instead of pending, another broken promise. I'm just waiting for the SD to be compulsory before giving in totally

Can you elaborate on this?

Yeah, i did a summary check on listings this month compared to last month (pre-BPF and the invoicing debacle) and its over 41% drop off in sales, views, watches etc - can’t be a coincidence 😡
If I was a business seller that would be catastrophic i can imagine - as a personal seller who is still just slowly working my way through thinning out my collection it isn’t disastrous for me but still very disconcerting if i want to continue selling on this platform - the invoice issue would ordinarily have been fixed pretty quickly i can imagine usually, but after a month now of being broken the figures speak for themselves - i just feel personal sellers are very surreptitiously being victimized now as Ebay make it more difficult in every way to ‘sell for free’ as they advertise it - not a great experience anymore - not just for sellers but buyers too, why should they be penalized with added BFP just because they are buying from a personal seller?
Its shocking…

Whilst this maybe the case, views are now seen to drop on auctions regularly.
I haven't asked of CS as to under what circumstance this maybe even possible, but as with a lot of displayed numbers on the platform their reliability is quite questionable at the least.

I imagine most business sellers have business accounts. Which are not affected.

On the current topic of combined invoices - to a much lesser degree than the poor private sellers.
Buyers with burned fingers from sellers in general not being able to combine items, will be less likely to shop on the platform - more so is the effect of a Buyer being inflicted with the BPF on a purchase from a Private seller on the platform.
The absence of communications from ebay of this fee to Buyers was shocking.

I agree with you about the affect on sellers across the board if buyers are alienated by their experience dealing with private sellers. It is quite possible a lot of buyers do not understand the distinction.
But much as I hate to appear to be defending Ebay, I'm not sure buyers are "inflicted" with the BPF. It doesn't really affect them; they can see the total price something will cost and (presumably) are happy with that. It is only when (if) they see an invoice they actually get to know that part of that price was BPF. I'm not sure they care?

Eventually Business Sellers will feel the fallout of BPF. Collectors like me seller so they can buy. Remove the sales, the purchases dry up too.
As for the BPF part and whether people care, speaking for myself I really don't like being forced to pay for something eBay already include for free with the MBG and I also have free protection from Curve and PayPal. So all I see is fraudulent behaviour and I really don't like it.

I think its the fact that buyers are already protected on purchases through Ebays general terms and conditions, but this added fee to buyers of listings from personal sellers seems more of an excess of protection that they are already covered for - plus if sending tracked postage there is the extra cover included with that couriers terms - this extra fee being only put onto personal sellers listings looks more to either force sellers off the platform or move to be a business seller - neither of which i personally wanted to do when i decided to use Ebay to sell off a large part of my collecton (and am well aware of the HMRC ruling and i’m more than fine with that)

Has anybody else noticed that all of ebay rules terms and conditions are all out of date so you get 300 free listing's a month etc etc but when you scroll down mine say 917 left remaining
Also selling terms .billing terms etc are all still there but there not the way ebay works anymore .isn't this false advertising of sorts
( sorry if the way I've explained it is confusing)

It depends on exactly what they are saying in those selling/billing terms.
Business sellers still have fees so if it's describing that, no. If it's describing the old private seller fee structures, then possibly, depending where it is and how it's advertised.
As for the 300 item bit, just checked mine and it says I have 299 left, having used 1. Underneath that I have the total limit of 9999.
