Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

This is a huge issue and one that is completely against any kind of sustainability / green quotas - there is no way that ebay can spin using tonnes of excess packaging as a cool thing.
On a personal level - the packaging I buy is designed to fit multiple items - I can sell individual ones but I am taking a hit if I do. I don't charge the buyer for packaging I like to keep P&P low - just the cost of the postage.

Yep I might do that later - or at least if the need arises. Cheers.

I do the same, recycle all my packaging, but that's not the point. eBay seem to be expecting us to do it for free. Not everything can be recycled. Packing tape being an obvious one. Then there's the time, the travel to the drop off point etc.
All of this can be combined if you could combine the postage. Stopping this is just stupid on so many levels, not least the environmental ones.

No arguments on that point from me but as soon as I saw how Simple Delivery was advertised I knew invoicing was dead anyway.
The BPF mess up surprised me. Looks like they didn't do any back end testing before injecting code.

I'm having the same issue as of yesterday. I cannot send any invoices, combined or otherwise. I've got people wanting to pay and Royal Mail collecting their parcels tomorrow. Isn't it time eBay got this sorted?

@new-model-armies-icons-of-the-realms
Doubtful when the coders are supposedly saying it's incompatible with the new system and they switched it off.
You have 2 workarounds
1) partially refund the buyer afterwards
2) cancel the orders and relist everything together.
The latter option saves the buyer some money as there will only be one 75p fee.

Here's an idea. List everything with a "Collect in person" option. Then tell customers to choose post for the first item and collect for all the others. Then you can send them all in one package.
Also once something is sold with the collect option you are allowed to exchange contact details, so you can negotiate whatever you want.

That "could" get both parties banned.
Could certainly qualify for one of eBay's threatening legal posts regarding circumventing BPF fees.

But surely as ebay have already said the problem was down to their developers creating the flaw, slapping sellers and buyers seems unfair, particularity when ebay offer no solution.
I am more of the thought that the whole fiasco is a 'trial' with the primed Private sellers being cannon fodder, and the change is going to be served to Business' in the next quarter.

Who said eBay were fair?
They've authorised 2 workarounds going by their posts.
But they also got heavy handed with a BPF workaround within their parent network.
So, basically they want their money.

My idea isn't circumventing BPF fees. Customers still have to pay the full BPF on each item. I'm just suggesting a way to not have to pay postage up front on every item. Currently I don't think this breaks any eBay rules. Not to say it won't in the future.
Equally I don't think the invoicing has to circumvent BPF rules either. eBay could limit the discount to only cover postage. This would be a step in the right direction. Then there needs to be a separate argument about BPF on low value items.

Do we know when this will be resolved? It's not helping buyers or sellers and it's been going on too long.

Hi I am having the same problem have sold a item and cannot send a invoice with corrected postal ??

When is this going to be resolved. It is a nightmare. Also your help pages haven't been updated with this issue.

I had the same issue a week or two ago, still have the problem. Last time I asked the buyer to pay postage for all the lots, then refunded the difference.

So still not fixed.
Funnily enough Ebay started the sellers list for free with no fees, same as V***** site do.
Now they've added exactly the same Buyer Protection fee as is offered there as well.
Exception being that, it has always been that way on that site.

What’s happening then?
Ive just sold five items to one person, I’d combine postage, they’re £3 each to post, so before , I’d charge him £4 for the lot, like I’ve done before to previous winners, now I have to charge him £15….really?
please respond…
