Option on sold listings to ‘send payment details’ has disappeared and I’m unable to send people invoices for combined orders like I normally do. I did a live chat with customer service, but I don’t really think they knew what I was talking about.
I have buyers waiting to pay, but are reluctant to pay for the entire postage cost in one go and have me refund due to the amount of money they would have in limbo.
anybody else having the same problem? Anyone at eBay able to confirm it’s being looked into so I can tell my buyers?

I am confused. I understand BPF is not paid on shipping. Mostly, this thread is about combining items for shipping. Only the shipping charge changes, BPF should not be affected.
If something is priced at say £2.99 plus say £3.39 shipping, that £2.99 includes BPF. If they buy ten items at £2.99 (= £29.90) the postage price would appear as £33.90 and the buyer would reasonably expect a discount on the shipping, but not on the price of the item. You seem to be saying they should get items 2 to 10 for £2.24?
I don't see how BPF calculations should be affected by shipping discounts. So I call BS on "the coders have decided it's incompatible with the new system".

The examples I've seen shows breakdowns.
Total item cost, total BPF cost and postage.
The total BPF cost really *bleep* off some users. There was one that got hit for around £25 in BPF off memory.

All of this stuff worked so well when there was a seller's fee ...

There's two bits to this.
There's those that sell multiple "reasonably priced" items that could all fit in one parcel, so the buyer expects a discount on the postage. This could be fixed by eBay only letting you change the postage on the invoice.
Then there's those that sell low cost items where the base 75p BPF is significant. If the buyer buys 10 widgets all the same size by selecting x10 it's treated as a single order and they only get charged the 75p once, but if the buy 10 widgets of different sizes it's treated as 10 orders and they get charged 75p 10 times. This seems unfair. I assume if eBay allowed a single combined invoice for this it could be considered a single order and should only incur the 75p once (which it should).

I have a regular UK buyer who has won 12 individual itens. I am going to cancel these orders, and then tell my buyer that I will relist them as (for example) 12 tapes for Ken, with £3.50 postage. Have that Ebay you set of greedy b..... 😉

❤️The plan we all have but will they punish us somehow with these new draconian rules starting 17th March.

Make sure that you ask the buyer first before cancelling then you can say buyer asked to cancel, or it might affect your standard of selling, i see my postage ⭐ is now 4.9 after being 5 for years. It might have been because i didn't send within the timeframe because a Canadian paid and asked me to hold until their postal strike was over, we were both happy with this and it worked out fine ...but

Well that works - make sure the buyer knows why you are having to do this crazy relisting. Good job hes a regular, cos even if you list it under an obscure name, ebays search isnt that great to say the least.
Hope you dont get the listing blocked for being short of Item Specifics.
What a waste of your time and the buyers having to wait.

At least we should know then just what the reality of the situation is - feels like limbo at the moment

Yes it's awful am not listing any more here now as for auctions not worth trying from what i've heard the seller pays the BPF

Oh I see, ah well never mind

I've sold a few at auction since since the BPF came into effect, and the buyer has always paid the fee.

So what's the latest on vanishing send invoice button ??

The option to send invoices is still disabled, as at 6 March, 11am. Here's the message that eBay shows when I attempt to combine purchases:

'So what's the latest on vanishing send invoice button ??'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have a choice of which to believe:
1. CS saying stuff like ' it's going to get fixed, but it may take (up to) 90 days'
2. somebody asked on Twitter and got the reply that translated as ' yeah, that's not compatilble with the new system, so this is how it's going to be from now on'.
So your choice 😁 ......are you a pessimist or an optimist?

I also should say that BPF. Confused my buyer, as she said the item with this added only showed after she'd won the auction. This is not acceptable in my opinion.

Looking at the information on BPF here...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/paying-items/buyer-protection-fee?id=5594
It clearly says the 75p is charged per item, then it says "When purchasing multiple quantities within a listing, the flat fee up to £0.75 is only charged once." The examples shown also show this, two identical items, 1x75p, two different items, 2x75p. It also says postage is added on top.
I'm not saying I agree with this, but if those are the rules then why is it such a problem to provide a combined invoice? With the current situation of doing refunds eBay are actually losing money, because part of the refund is BPF.

Looks like an eBay's version of combining postage on its way ??
I bet they are looking at a method to somehow make money where postage has to be combined because less postage labels are generated, less money they make.
This is just me with a tin foiled hat.
