NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

That's the problem - ebay have become for want of a better word "sneaky" and certainly untrustworthy.

When is an adult (or probably a child) going to come into the room and sort these decision makers out?

Even just trying to add a photo to an existing item (on the app) has become so drawn out.

Do they actually have an I.T. department?

Sunflowers, thanks for your information It's much appreciated.. I've been
selling on Ebay for over 25 years and never knew this It's always been
automatic on my listings as far as I know Only really noticed it a few
months ago??

ahh they have jumped my account to the USA so i can not print UK postage  now fiddling to get it back to the UK and pounds ? ahole

Nope, the BPF is calculated when you enter the price of the item. It doesn't change if you alter the postage costs.

If I list a £0.99 item the BPF will always be £0.14, regardless of the P&P charges.

It means your buyer has purchased through the .com site.   It appears that gives you an issue with the SD label.

I have just been to my local Post Office to post a 7" and the manager showed me a couple of very large piles of Evri post that had not been collected for two days - luckily mine was Royal Mail.  My PO is only small (part of a co-op) and probably one more day and they won't be able to move in there.

Evri are definitely starting to struggle.

I have a package from the US that I am waiting for that has now been at my local delivery depot for 3 days and all I've had is one notification to say sorry we are late.

Only ebay would choose to use Evri over RM to make the last part of the delivery.

Obviously they have a better deal with Evri so ebay can make more money.

It just shows that ebay really doesn't give a jot about it's users at all and just wants to make as much as possible from it's users regarding Simple Delivery and any way it can.

From what I can make of it BPF is calculated on a sellers selling price. If it's a auction its calculated on the end price (i think) 🤷‍

That’s what I said. It’s whatever the item finally sells for. Postage has
nothing to do with it. As you can see someone thinks it calculated on the
initial listing price. Which isn’t correct! I list always as buy it now.
Recently I reduced the price and the BPF also decreased accordingly. Which
goes with what I said. Glad you agree rugbyguy.

This platform is absolutely rubbish now.

I've made my first New Years resolution and that is going to be that I will not give any of my money to ebay as a seller or buyer.

Ebay have totally lost the plot here in the UK.

My only interest here now is to see how long it continues for before it implodes.

This platform will have no one to blame apart from itself.
