AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Agree. I can’t even work out what it is trying to say. Which makes it utterly useless.

Ebay Approached Royal Mail to buy labels from us (who is us?) to see to their customers
(We were seen to alright lol)
any Regarding refunds for labels that were are not unable to be used (this) should be taken up directly to with Ebay"

well last weeks was a complete wash out so doubt if todays will be any better!

I've got the same but up to 2kg is now £5.15. I've got medium parcels on Simple Delivery so it's the right rate but I don't see an option at the moment to switch to small parcel at a cheaper rate. Nothing of mine has been changed from custom postage to Simple Delivery yet

Ah yes i always enjoy the squirming and like to imagine them clock watching desperately waiting for 3pm

How do we actually join the chat and see what's being said?

Mines still the same SD letter rate £2.72, 2kg £5.15. Am still using custom am relisting some after not selling for weeks. What a farce this is

It sounds like the RM 'price match' of blended medium/small parcels to small size price has ended roughly as planned on the 20th but they haven't yet implemented the changes to enable the separation of small and medium SD parcels? If so they should have run the 'price match' for longer?
It was such a mistake at the start to think they could have a blended price for small/medium that was around a quid or more higher than RM tracked 48 small without people reaching for their pitchforks. But then the whole 'transformation' of ebay this year has been a series of ill judged moves.

All the pricing is good but they forgot to add the 1-2kg small parcel at 3.38 into their coding thingamijig so when you list a 1-2kg small parcel comes up as 5.15

Yet another example of how mistakes, errors and omissions never seem to affect ebay's profitability. I'm looking forward to 'the great refund day' when ebay give back all the money they have unjustly enriched themselves with.

Exactly. All the glitches, all the errors are somehow always in eBay's favour. It has become really apparent. The games up. I'm no longer fooled. There's only so long you can pull the wool over people's eyes. This international platform which has been around for decades is suddenly apparently so incompetent that the basics don't even work properly. I'm not buying it.

To play devils advocate here they are only charging 3.38 for a 1kg medium parcel which should be 5.15 (unless that’s another mistake)
😀
but yes I see your point and I’m not a conspiracy theorist at all but I could be persuaded lol here

Those rates are only in custom delivery
they don’t appear on Simple Delivery where the large letter prices are from 2.70 something

Large letters sent second class ??/ Am I missing something?
Under SD it's that awful 1KG rate on even the lower weight large letters.
Ebay's argument is that they will be insured and tracked but the counter-argument is they often don't need insurance (as you already get £20 of cover from RM on standard large letter) and tracking is just a nice to have (you get delivery confirmation anyway if bought online) neither of which are worth paying almost double on a low value 100g LL label.

OK well maybe they are just incompetent then 🙂

A buyer with money to burn?
there’s the other issue
letters can go custom delivery
large letters it’s been said have to go simple delivery though the jury is out as the eBay messaging has been let’s say fluid rather than absolutely definitive
for example
ebay help pages say a dvd can go custom delivery (this can’t go in an envelope obviously) but in community chat one of the staff said large letters aren’t included in custom delivery

I just saw one question posted, when I refreshed the question had gone...?
