This hits private sellers in the stamps section particularly hard. Most of them have stocks of stamps for postage bought at discount rates which they can no longer use. Shipping costs under the new system will be a lot higher than they were, further deterring buyers. Collectors appreciate receiving stamps on the envelopes and packages their stamps arrive in, not printed labels, another negative.
In my experience, alternative delivery companies such as eBay propose we use offer poor service and on multiple occasions I have been notified that items purchased have arrived when they haven't. As to being simpler, how much simper can you get than sticking a stamp on an envelope and dropping it into a postbox?
I've already spotted that my favourite seller has ceased listing lots.
I won't be looking for stamps on eBay if the variety of listings isn't there - so this will have a knock on effect for business sellers too.
