AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

If ebay doesn't want to be ebay anymore it seems there is a gap for someone to move into.

SD for all that ebay has said about it is a means to make money. As for forcing businesses on to SD that might be a bit more problematic (hopefully) for ebay.

Oh I hope so. Or maybe with how things are going they might even consider selling the UK part to a UK buyer.

I agree. It will be interesting to see how they would try and undercut what negotiations business sellers already have in place. The word failure springs to mind.

I'm on a desktop pc so just do a screenprint and then crop in photo editing software.

My partner and I have joined ebid ,it is gathering momentum too ,I wonder why ! We realised that we had to pay to join but it will be worth it .

It is about time other places realised that they have a lot to gain at the present time.

This is how eB*d stays afloat. Everyone thinks that's a great deal, but unless it's changed a h*ll of a lot, you'll probably never make that money back.

I joined many years ago, when lifetime membership was £49.99 (and you got a free t-shirt), and I listed several hundred items over a year or so. I definitely did not get my money back. I made a couple of dozen small sales, admittedly at a time when eBay was still much more user-friendly.

eB*d, even now, I believe is only good as a market place for you to direct your buyers to specific items. If you hang around waiting for the buyers to come along, you'll have a long wait. 

If you need to make sales, either quickly or regularly, eB*d is not the place for you.

I think more and more people are getting to hear about  ebid  so it can be a possitive thing and more people are joining

That would have really upset me at one time.  Now I shall view it as a badge of honour 🤣

Although I don't see why they should mind.  They clearly want to get rid of private sellers off ebay so we're actually doing them a favour by helping people off it!

But honestly, what has it come to that things have got so bad that a loyal and longstanding buyer/seller like me now views ebay so negatively.  They've really only got themselves to blame.  And I feel sorry for the staff because I'd be surprised if they're happy with what the "powers that be" are doing either.  I doubt if customers are the only group of people who ebay are squeezing.

I may or may not be around tomorrow!
