I have just had to cancel two listings for ikea prints as to safely package would have required a box/package ca 75 x75cm. After searching listing page the MAX size under royal mail is now capped at medium package 61cm so these would have been rejected when I took then to post office (i refuse to use evri). I couldn't find a 'enter your own size/weight ' option to allow custom delivery.
Has anyone else had this problem yet?

Looks like that's the largest RM will go. Looks like the next size up goes with Parcel Force on their web site.
There is a freight option on SD but it doesn't seem to do anything when you click on it!
Have some larger items to list as well in the future..looks like that's going to be a no go at the min.

Just replied to this on the other thread not selling due to simple delivery

at the bottom of the simple delivery size and weight categories there is looking for larger package options, does that help?

The switch to custom postage link doesn’t appear on my listing screen.
Also, I have seen on line references to an EVRi eBay maximum length allowance of 120 cm but again I see no reference to this on my listing page screen. Can anyone help?

I am no longer seeing "looking for heavier or larger package" option. So I'm not sure what is going on - you'll have to contact ebay.

When I trial a listed for a chair, it says it's an oversized item and allows me to select my own postage...

I've not seen any official advice, but I wrote this a while ago and no-one has raised any particular issue with it/me.

This issue is still ongoing and only getting worse. Its like eBay are trying to lose loyal customers! I was also trying to tell a chair which is obviously going to be more than 61cm long but no custom postage option was available. Its linked to category so I had to select 'office furniture - general' instead and I then had the option. Its therefore not listed in the best possible place but at least I could chose my own postage option. eBay is a joke and honestly if they don't start giving sellers back these choices I'll be leaving. Holding our money for weeks is bad enough but there is no excuse for a terrible selling platform, not when so many others are popping up!

It's getting annoying now as I can't edit my existing listings without it converting them to SD so basically they are frozen in time awaiting someone coming along to buy them. No longer an option to drop the price on the slower moving items. Stuff is still selling but the rate is starting to reduce as my quantity of listings here dwindles as new stuff has been listed elsewhere.
I've got a few things to list that won't be possible to sell on the other 2 platforms I use so eventually I am going to have to start sending the odd thing via SD but ebay is becoming a last resort option now.
If they violate my existing listings with SD then I will resume gradually pulling them to relist elsewhere.
They made a few concessions/improvements to SD early on which were welcome but they really need to offer the various 2nd class large letter weights up to £20 and provide support for oversized items.
Combined postage needs improving to stop it blindly pushing the cost up a notch and a new function is required to enable existing orders to be combined where the buyer didn't know to use the basket to fix the tracking and give them a prompt refund of the excess paid.
This mess should never have gone mandatory for anyone until it was fit for purpose.
Ebay has been ruined by idiot decision makers trying to run before they can walk, unwilling to stop so they just keep running wildly with their arms swinging about smashing everything of value and making complete fools of themselves.

A workaround someone posted on the other thread to get custom (thank you durz0x)

Draft your listing for your chair for 800 £ as this is over the SD item price limit
custom delivery appears straight after
Then click see all package dimensions chose oversized
pick your weight
pick your courier
go back and change the price
there’s nothing wrong in doing this as you’re actually selling an oversized item but eBay s gremlins are stopping you
