I have just had to cancel two listings for ikea prints as to safely package would have required a box/package ca 75 x75cm. After searching listing page the MAX size under royal mail is now capped at medium package 61cm so these would have been rejected when I took then to post office (i refuse to use evri). I couldn't find a 'enter your own size/weight ' option to allow custom delivery.
Has anyone else had this problem yet?

It will be be back to the drawing board on the 6th no doubt. I suppose that I will have to spend time on devising another workaround for them.
Why ebay couldn't have devised a workaround prior to my being switched to simpleton delivery I don't know. There was enough talk about it since the inception of the debacle.

This is infuriating and really problematic, adding frustration to what should be something that is so 'simple'. But eBay has sullied that word and 'simple' is now associated with 'aahhhhhh!'.
So, it would appear there are some tricks that can open up the Oversized parcel option, but it would seem that certain listing categories don't have this available, regardless of how the item is described. It just seems to be luck if you find a category that offers oversized. At first I was wondering if the option appeared depending on the item title or description, but that didn't appear to be reliable or consistent. I also tried the piano trick with no luck, but then randomly selected: Other Climbing/ Mountaineering, and hey presto, oversized became available, but when I selected oversized and switched category it reverted to medium parcel again.

You have to follow my workaround exactly. It can be used in all categories.

OK thanks, I have now got this working using your method. It's fairly easy. I had seen others suggesting Free Delivery as an alternative, but that seems financially disadvantageous due to the buyer prevention fee.

Just had a parcel rejected at the Post Office because it was over sized, I had to pay over twice as much to send it Parcel Force out of my own money, so I've sold at a loss. The virtual assistant is just infuriating, and I've now got to send the useless postage label to get tracking and my money released. It's impossible to speak to a real person at Ebay, they must know this 'Simple' postage isn't working.

If it’s larger than a medium size parcel you can’t use the simple delivery label as that is the maximum size for Royal Mail and simple delivery
you needed to have listed it as a larger parcel
then again ebay doesn’t cater for them at the moment due to some problem that’s taking them a month and a half and stilll haven’t fixed
(for future reference there is a fix workaround
if you type 61cm into the forum search bar it will bring up a thread of how to do this called no longer able to send parcels larger than 61cm or something like that )
you can send a PayPal invoice to your buyer for the postage as they will get a refund automatically for the label that wasn’t used , that’s if they paid for the postage
if you had free post then you have to claim a refund within 14 days for the label eBay charged you for
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
You can add the correct tracking number of parcelforce in my orders
see reply on this thread by peace blossom
I believe all that is correct but someone will come on hopefully and correct /add anything
It’s awful isn’t it
