Has Custom Postage Now Gone ?

Please can someone offer some advice.

I've read that we can opt out of the Simple Delivery and still use Custom postage but I cant see the Custom Postage option anymore when adding a listing ?

I've tried this on new listings, revising a listing, listing a similar item, and on listings under £10.

Is there still a way of using Custom Postage or has it completely gone ?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

Without looking for others:

Parcelforce 48
1 - 2 working days1 to 2 business days
0 - 30 kg, Max. Length: 150 cm
Tracking included: Yes
Compensation included: Yes

Parcelforce isn't exactly known for its good value for money propositions... the last time I used Parcelforce 24, it wasn't actually a 24 hour service.

FedEx via Parcel2Go is better value for money than Parcelforce and accepts 90 x 60 x 60cm.

UPS via parcel2go is cheaper than Parcelforce and accepts up to 80cm. You could probably book longer items direct from UPS but they'd cost more

Parcelforce is almost £10 for a 1kg parcel! Parcelforce prices from the Post Office are more expensive still.

I don't think many customers would want to pay almost £10 more in postage just to avoid Evri. I know I certainly wouldn't.

Re: Has Custom Postage Now Gone ?

Pardon? I never mentioned cost nor did you previously. Your post was about size.

You said:

"If the item is larger than a Royal Mail Medium parcel then you can't use Simple Delivery anyway because Evri, despite taking anything up to 1.2m length (and overall size maximum 245cm), has the same maximum dimensions with Simple Delivery as Royal Mail!

Trouble is, if you won't use Evri then you'll have a bit of bother trying to find a suitable courier, since Yodel (the other alternative mentioned when using CUSTOM POSTAGE) max out at 60 x 50 x 50cm."
