Ebay updated their Privacy Policy on 21st April. Our friends in Germany have picked up that Ebay is now using our personal data to train their AI programs, and the German data protection regulatory body has objected on the following grounds.
Furthermore, there is a lack of information about which AI models will be used. In our opinion, the requirements for transparency regarding the planned data processing have not yet been sufficiently met."

Hmmm.. yeah.
A bit like the trusted common-sense statement 10 or 15 years ago, that "if the camera light is off on your lap-top, that means the camera is off as well"
Then the photos came out showing tech bros with small bits of paper stuck over the camera position on their own computers........ now why would they do that I wonder?

It was quite an eye-opener when someone on another thread told me what info. ebay had collected and shown under our Forum user-name profile. How many threads I've read, how many minutes I've spent on the forums. What else are they collecting and why ?
Trust them ?
As Arthur Daley once said "They'd sell their grannies ears as ashtrays if some offered them the right price."
