I changed some prices yesterday and everything looked 'normal' but today I am listing a few new books and I've noticed the buyer protection fee has changed. Which means if you're like me (a private seller) and you like your sale prices to be a nice round number, you have to go into every single listing and edit them again.... i could cry. Why do they keep d**king about with it? I've not seen any comms to suggest they were changing things again, anyone else seen anything?

OK, I can't work out how to edit but have since found this - https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/Important-Update-to-Your-Fixed-Price-Listings/ba-p/795...
Why didn't this come out as an email?! Unless it did and I deleted it? Haha, I'm still annoyed and grumpy tho!

The news about the increase to the BPF appeared recently on this forum, under the Featured Posts section:- 'Important Update to Your Fixed Price Listings'.
The announcement was dated 5/11/25, which was not very much notice, especially for those of us that don't like these 'odd' prices. I'm sure many will not be aware of this, until they spot the unwelcome change to their item prices...

Yes, I've since found that announcement but surely things like that should be communicated via email. Not everyone visits this forum - I only lurk when needed! Just another example of ebay giving their web team a pointless job... and then not having their marcomms team tell us properly...!

It does actually show under the “Selling announcements” of the Seller Hub. But unless you regularly scroll through that page, then you will miss it.
Agreed, it should have been sent as an email.
You can adjust all the prices back to how they were just by bulk “Lower by” 2p on every listing.
See my post here about it: https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/Pricing-has-changed/m-p/7956020#M761691
