Buyer not confirming collection after taking item home and not responding to messages

The buyer should have given you a collection code when they came to collect the item, I'm presuming it's the mattress topper.
Send them a polite message to look through their order details and email messages for this 6 digit QR code and to send this to you, as this will release your payout sooner.
If they don't , you will need to wait 14 days for your payout to be released.
For any future collection items, do not release the item without this code, it's your only proof it has been collected and the only way your payout is released in a few days and not 14.
A polite message can be sent to the buyer after they've paid , to remind them to bring this code when collecting.

Yup always remind them to bring the collection code when arranging collection and type it into your phone if possible while they are there to prove that it is valid otherwise it's not just the delayed fund release it's also the risk of a fraudulent claim that they didn't get the item where ebay would give them a refund.

Unfortunately, only the code will mean anything to ebay. Without that, as above, you will need to wait 14 days for payment release.

'....but I have cctv footage of the buyer collecting the item'
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Means nothing to ebay ☹️ the buyer could wave a flag at the camera with their name and address on it, stating 'yes I've collected' and it still wouldn't mean anything.
(I remember a mega-thread many years ago from zebra-removals(?) about somebody caught on camera collecting something without paying for it at all. Same result; it meant nothing to ebay ....)
