Hi,
I have just revised a listing with the "Custom postage" option and gone for Royal Mail Tracked 48 at £3.45, I add £0.30p to this to cover the collection cost that Royal Mail are now charging to come and collect my parcels (housebound so cannot get to a local post office, plus I live in a rural area so couriers won't come and collect from here so Royal Mail is the only option I have) so it then says on the page "The buyer will pay: £3.75 Based on the cost that you have set" I click on done and finish revision of the item.
Then when I look at the listing, it now says £4.50 postage. How? What? What am I missing here?
Sorry if this is covered elsewhere. Thanks.

I suspect it the simple delivery changes that came into force yesterday.
I am surprised if the listing is on custom postage as every category will have been switched over now.
Can you give me the item number and i will take a look maybe give you a more definitive answer.

I don't think very many people have been switched to mandatory SD yet.

That is showing £3.75 postage to me - RMTracked48

It's showing that for me now, but about 20 minutes ago it was showing £4.50 for postage when I looked at it.
Thanks for your help!

I believe there are many glitches, well so it seems, as different temporary ones seem to be continually reported here.
Perhaps with the new postage costs allegedly introduced yesterday, some not seeing this, and Simple Delivery still being tweaked, all sorts of wrong information is being shown on sellers listings!
A friend told me their listings are now showing they post to countries they have never heard of !

It is done by category, But it is such a shambles the listing shows to me at £3.75.

I'm not sure that it is, as the few that have mentioned SD is now mandatory for them have it on all their listings, regardless of category. I certainly haven't come across a category that is totally SD (yet!).

Probably the Heard and McDonald islands, where they're now paying Trump's tariffs?

My listed items are still showing custom postage. They were switched over to SD a couple of weeks ago and i just bypass to do custom

It feels like never again can we be certain what any SD postage price will actually be, from one day to the next.
With Custom post, when you list at £3.45 p&p, that is the price it will be, and that is what you will get - no 'if's and but's', no unexpected price rises/glitches/weird stuff. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

They aren't doing it by category but in waves as they call it on accounts, all mine are custom that i relisted

I've just relisted some more i could have been selling for weeks but took everything off because of the fear of SD. I lose out and so does Ebay, i make nothing and so do they

Parsley, I thought you said ages ago you're moving to eb*d. Have you changed your mind?
15th April I moved everything here to local collect only. Then I found SD wasn't being brought in according to plan (again, for it was previously declared to be coming in before end March). So I relisted with postage. If SD is forced on me, I'm not accepting it.
