My buyer filed a dispute saying they don’t recognize the transaction despite pestering me for updates daily. The item is still in eBay’s GSP hub. Is there a way to initiate a return to sender? Clearly this is a fraudulent transaction

'Clearly this is a fraudulent transaction'
Would this also relate to selling 40 brand new phones on a private account depriving Ebay of their fees?

EBay allows you to sell up to £90,000 a year before having to upgrade to a business account. I haven’t reached the threshold so I can use a private account. When i do, I will register as a business. Simple

£90,000 a year? Where have you seen that figure?

Simple, but wrong.

You are either a business, selling with the intention to make money, or a private seller selling your own items. By law, you need to have your name and address on all your listings to comply with UK Consumer Law. Just accepting returns is not enough.
You are selling new items. It doesn't make any difference if you make £1000 a year or make a deficit.

I think that might be the threshold for registering for VAT

VAT - Could be.

There have been a number of posts over the last couple of months saying that CS are telling people that £90k is the threshold for registering as a business.
As usual, CS are saying anything that will get the caller off the phone quickly and guarantee that they get a five star rating for being helpful - which they were, because they said what the caller wanted to hear.
