Buyer cancelled

Sold an item privately feb 18th to be collected,the buyer paid so money is on hold in my account,but after promising to pick on a number of occasions he didn't,then he cancelled Friday, I didn't see the message as i still thiught he was going to pick up,now he's asking for refund but as it's over 3 days ebay wont let me cancel and i don't know how to refund withough any charges for me.any help appreciated

You wont have any charges as it is free to sell for private sellers.

Go in to your orders and use the drop down menu and click on the 3 dots to find 'send refund'.

I think your best bet would be to contact Customer Services about this, & explain that you didn't see the cancellation request in time.

You should still be able to cancel the transaction no problem the way it was advice above, if you are unable to do this, could you please confirm the item number, so I can look into this for you?
