On the orders page in the seller hub the left hand drop down filter menu is for "Status". There are a number of different variables in there to enable the filtering of orders, "all orders, despatched, awaiting payment etc.".
There is one that I personally would find very helpful that is not there - "despatched not delivered" which would filter any orders that are marked as despatched but not yet delivered. I am sure this could be done as the information is already in the system and it would make the proactive approach to dealing with parcels that have gone missing much easier. At the moment I have to manually scan through all orders to try and covet this information. Is there a way this can be done already without looking through all orders? Would you find this helpful too?

Yes, great idea. Sometimes scrolling down, you miss one which hasn't been delivered.

Royal Mail collect from us and we have requested from them a scan on collection as opposed to just giving them sacks of parcels and a manifest, I've not had any issues with parcels not being scanned on delivery though.

I might have misunderstood something but what would you do with the info? Or more to the point why would you want the info?
nice to have but I can’t think of any company who would proactively reach out to me on the basis they believe my order hasn’t been delivered.
an I missing something?

I regularly check the tracking and if it is over the delivery date, I do message the buyer to say that I am aware and keeping an eye on the tracking. I then contact Packlink for an update which in most cases, prompts the parcel to leave the depot where it has been stuck for a few days.

It's what @cobwebcottage said. If I am aware of a despatch that is past its ETA I will contact the customer, tell them I am aware of it and looking in to it. I'd much rather take the lead and say we are aware of an issue before I get a message from a customer saying "where is my order?"

Personally, think that is overkill. As a customer I wouldn’t expect it, and as a business it would not be something I would do.
but each to their own, as it stands I wouldn’t see eBay adding it in as I can’t see it being a use case for enough users to warrant the development.
That being said, 17track is an application that can facilitate that feature. You just have to pay for it.

Each to their own, just over 2 weeks ago I ordered a 2004 bottle of rum for my lads 21st birthday which still hasn't arrived. I checked the tracking showing it hadn't been delivered and contacted DPD who said that it contained a prohibited item and had been returned to the sender. The sender replied saying this is the first they had heard of an issue and I would have to wait whilst they look into it. I would have much prefered to have received an email a week ago from the seller saying that there was an issue and would I like a refund or for them to resend the item.

Frankly if it’s a business sending alcohol that doesn’t understand courier limitations on that product, I’d be more concerned that they are actually in business in the first place.
Like I say, I know of very few businesses proactive on missing parcels, and 17TRACK will do what you are asking. Given its chargeable, one would assume it would also come at a cost to eBay.

I'm pretty sure Rhum Attitude in Paris with over 9k reviews on Trustpilot understand courier limitations on the products they sell; sometimes stuff just goes wrong for no fathomable reason (as it has in this case).
eBay want its sellers to go above and beyond in customer service, all I am suggesting is that they give us a tool which should be easy for them to implement to do this. I (and I assume eBay) would much to prefer to give my buyers excellent customer service as opposed to average customer service.

And all I’m suggesting is it would not be something that would go at the top of the list to spend development time and money on.

I wouldn’t use it either. I have days where I am constantly moving from one task to the next and end up working long hours. No way would I spend extra time checking who has or hasn’t had their order marked as delivered. I prefer to wait for contact and then deal with the issue then.
