will it class as a late delivery?

Just a quick question if anyone knows the answer.

Someone ordered an album from me - quite expensive - so as i do - i paid for special delivery to arrive next day before 1 pm and signed for.

They atemped delivery  - no answer - so i contacted the buyer to advise of what had happened - he / she has arranged for delivery on the 12th of this month - my question is - will this go down as late delivery ? As the order was the 6th of July and i posted it on the 7th.

That annoys me when I use Special Delivery and notify the recipient of the morning that it will arrive and they cannot be bothered to arrange attendance to the address to receive it.

Yes it probably will be classed as late with their recent changes. I've had 70 late delivery marks on my account in the last 90 days where I'd only had 3 in the previous 12 months! An order I shipped within 10 minutes with Royal Mail Tracked 48 was due to be delivered on the Thursday but the customer requested Saturday delivery and I got a late mark against it. Orders placed on the weekend are showing as late delivery because the courier collected on a Monday, this is eBay gone into stupid mode! I've had to increase the handling time to 4 days to get around their stupidity, even though I ship the same day. Best of all, you submit an appeal hoping that somebody can see the problems they're causing and it's rejected. Absolutely livid with them at the moment but customer service follows a script, they don't actually consider they've got something going wrong on their website. In short the answer is tough!
