Simple postage delivery is terrible I am having parcels not being delivered on time or going missing with Royal Mail . Some items I hand make I have had to stop selling because I would only sell RM special delivery no way would I use the simple postage think ebay have made a huge mistake.

Simple Delivery covers the value of the item up to £750.  And if SD items are lost or damaged in transit ebay refunds the buyer and the seller keeps the original payment.  So not all bad.

I would not be happy if an original item that I had sweated and slaved to make were lost due to a carrier. Monetary compensation does not compensate for the loss of a unique item.

I must admit that I never had anything go missing when I only used Royal Mail Special Delivery so I would also be concerned that since simpleton delivery were forced on me that items started to go missing.

Sometimes my items are over £750. Recent item yet again lost,  I have just had to refund buyer for item collected Monday and missing yet again and like the last item.  Will not doubt take a month to be refunded so quite bad imo.

Also nowhere on the item I am at loss with where I can report to ebay item is lost.

With things going missing every time I have used simple delivery (thank fully they have been cheaper items) I don't feel confident using simple delivery on my more expensive items as they are handmade and not easily replaced, not taking that chance.

That is why I said use my workaround to get back to Special Delivery!

dont be fooled by so called work arounds, you will just be wasting your time, it does not work, its BS.

private sellers have no option but sd. 

sd offers protection on lost goods. custom, the lost item fight is yours!

what is lost, item you sold?

the item is tracked, the system informs, courier, reports  any overdue parcels, damage or loss. 

You do nothing, you get a refund automatically.

Three parcels I had issues with, kept informed all the time, even that they were on they way back to me.

The buyer reports item not recieved, its not for the seller.

I think the system is great.

Of the 610, evri accept 120cm but the correct weight must be selected.

exactly. any labour spoken of is reflected in the sale price, really, some people! High ticket, collect it then, if they want they will travel.

A couple of items I was unable to adjust anything relating to  Royal Mail. If goods sent tracked 48 via ebay and go missing it is quite some time before one receives payment if any.

Yes item collected Monday 21st July 48 hr tracked, upon tracking only shows as collected nothing else now no updates, this is the third time this has happened. I just received an item back I sent a month ago same thing happened went off the system, seems to happen when using postage through ebay no problems when I set up postage independently. So many people talking about the same issue on Facebook.

all very odd this. your feedback for sales show no recent sales, the one you are selling is free delivery!

what is baffling is why would you be going all through this workaround with no sales in past 90 days and one with free delivery? perhaps you have two accounts?

what i have found on this forum many have two accounts, one to buy one to sell and more likely one a business and one a private using experiences in business as being applied to private. 

spent an hour on your advice and IT DOES NOT WORK, post only, £800, rm special delivery and although that all shows in preview once the sell price is reduced to £27,  that posting detail in next preview is lost!

what i have also found on here is that there appears to be a league table of contributors, who knows wanting to be in the top 10 is so important and any reply pussing something keeps them up there!
