Simple Delivery collection didn't show up, what do I do now?

Yesterday I sold an item and selected collection from my home by Royal Mail using this awful new Simple Delivery system. The collection was booked for today but no-one has showed up to collect it. Where in my account can I see the collection status? Ebay's website is an unfathomable maze and I can't see collection status anywhere and I'm not sure what to do now.

It is actually Royal Mail you need to speak to about the missed collection. Although you can book an RM Collection, do you know that your local Postie is allowed to pick up the odd item at their discretion? If you are able to catch them and explain the missed Collection, they may be able to take it instead.

Ebay didn't give me a collection number. Without that there's not much I can do. So it's Ebay's *bleep*py new system which is the problem for me here.

But I already manually booked a collection on the Royal Mail website and the parcel is on its way.

Oh, now I understand. That sounds frustrating! I haven't tried to book one yet, because our Postie tends to just accept the odd package.
