New Ebay buyers policy 4th Feb

Hi I just wanted to find out what other sellers actually think of the new buyers protection policy set to be launched on the 4ht Feb which states that sellers don't get paid until delivery is confirmed, this isn't a bad one for postage within UK if you are posting the item tracked as UK postal workers have to scan every tracked item, but if you as a seller are sending to EU via international royal mail tracked then there is no real guarantee that the item is scanned in the country you may send too, which could mean that sellers don't get paid if that item wasn't scanned. I have raised this to Ebay and raised a complaint on the back of it. Please let me know anyone thoughts on this.

This concerns me greatly too as I sell some fairly low value items for charity so I often do not use a tracked service as it adds to the buyer's cost. Perhaps I will have to only sell higher value items to justify more expensive postage. It just seems unfair.

It applies to private sellers.

Unlike many on here, you are correctly registered as a business seller, so it doesn't apply to you.

There is no such thing as being 'correctly registered' 

If ebay has a problem with a private seller then they will ask them to upgrade to a business account.

Otherwise it is business as usual for the 'private' seller!

It's unbelievable....since buyers already had plenty of protection and access to return items with problems...now SELLERS must be punished and forced to reduce prices to accommodate protection fees

It's a PROTECTION RACKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course there is such a thing as being 'correctly registered', it means having the right ebay account for your selling activities.

Private for getting rid of unwanted personal possessions. 

Business for selling items you bought, made, or grew, to sell.

Ebay does very little about incorrectly registered accounts, but that doesn't make using the wrong one acceptable or legal.
