Ebay holding funds for delivered items, even after feedback.

Ebay has become a sham. 

You are now expected to pay mutliptle postage, without any funds and wait until. EBay decide to pay you funds. 

I have an item that he's been delivered and positve feedback received yet days later its still showing as awaiting delivery. 

This is becoming a massive problem. 

Ebay will lose so much business. 

It's not good practice to send items and have several hundred pounds on hold until when eBay decide to pay and continue to make a fortune in interest on your money. 

If this continues, people will just give up and go elsewhere

Yep a very simple system but ebay obviously want to make money on interest. Its my first time selling with this new system in place its awefull been using ebay 17 years. 100% positive selling feedback didnt sell much but the fact its not even showing in available ebay funds is really annoying

I sold an item today andcthat was paid for straight away. I was set to post it with tracking so I funds would normaly be available 48hrs after delivery. But I had a message saying the buyer was local and could he collect. I agreed with the view that it would save me the postage. Item was collected and away he went. My only option now was to mark it as dispatched as there was no collection option available. With no tracking I now need to wait 14 days before the funds become available

Intetest on the money held .the buyer has payed so funds have been received by ebay otherwise we wouldnt send the item.

Correct. I had the same. I had to cancel the first sale, then relist the item with the collection option. Told buyer new item number and job sorted. Bloody nightmare but it works.

Because you didnt use the ebay fixed price postage via royal mail which ebay clearly get a cut of otherwise why fix the price and not offer next day tracked delivery

Your right but as the buyer clicked on delivery rather than collection eBay has no way of knowing it was collected. They are just aware that it has been marked as dispatched with no tracking

It's not worth the hassle trying to prove he collected it... I dont desperately need the cash so I can wait 14 days

This is infuriating. I delivered a table 2 weeks ago and they are still holding funds. Customer service are almost impossible to contact using useless chat bots. It’s a complete scam. Where else can we move to to sell?

Same here I had to argue with costumer service holding up my funds so long buyer not responding any email or feedback sent item but lost receipt eBay not helping and my funds still there telling me go to financial ombudsman to get funding .seriously I want to close my account with them I paid postage and expensive item not getting back also eBay robbed my money awful
