Congratulation to Ebay for screwing up big time. oldest fraud in town

With the new SD postal system you have opened the door to the old and biggest fraud of all time.

The item that never was. So a buyer buys a lovely gold chain weighing 30 gms for £200 and the seller sends him an empty 10gm envelope, but because the SD postal system is in use there is no correct weight of the package, so the seller can say I sent it, but the buyer just gets an envelope weighing according to the label 750gm so cant prove the 10gm envelope was all that was sent. So the buyer will lose out and ebay with wash their hands of the whole issue, royal Mail will say we never weighed the item so we dont know what happened the the chain.    Classic thinking by Ebay

Simple Delivery makes absolutely no difference in this situation.  If the seller sends an empty envelope then the buyer will open an INAD return request and the seller with have no choice other than to refund or accept the return of the empty envelope and refund on return.

It's more likely to get the seller scammed as they wont be able to prove what weight they sent.

You can avoid all the BPF and SD issues by trading on an ebay business account.
