Changing tracking option is gone stopping me to add my own tracking

I am posting several items for the Christmas campaign, and I always offer 24h free delivery. Simple Delivery stopped time ago the postage options with Royal Mail (not sure about other carriers) and all the labels are automatically generated for 48 hours tracked delivery, so no option for 24h or guaranteed by 1pm next day, which I use for mobiles and laptops. Until now I was still able to add a second tracking and replace the simple delivery one by mine with faster delivery.

Well, I noticed that the drop down to update the tracking was gone (computer interfce) and contacted customer service, who confirmed that this option has been removed (at least for the UK, I ignore how it works for other countries)

They told me that the only option I have for items under £750, is communicating the new tracking to buyers directly and then request the delivery to be checked by customer services to be paid.

I hope many of you agree that it is not acceptable that sellers cannot offer more officially 24h or next day delivery if we want so, in order to make our sales more competitive.

Yep,  this option of adding tracking manually,  if Simple Delivery is not used,  is no more.

eBay tell us we can send buyers a message  informing them if the relevant tracking numbers,  and should a case for item not received be opened,  then those numbers can be manually added to the case details.

The answer to this is in your own hands.

If you register correctly as a business seller, you will be able to choose and use your own postage options, add tracking etc.

Only private sellers have to use Simple Delivery.

Sellers who are trading - buying multiples of brand new shoes and electronics to sell on - should have business accounts.
