No response

Hi

Bought an item on July 5th,paid for item.Have had no response from seller at all.The item was collection only.So no pick up info,no address,nothing.Have messaged seller numerous times,but not a word.Contacted E-Bay wanting to cancel the sale.As far as I know with the new system,the money paid is held by e-bay for 14 days unless a QR code or 6digit number is given to the seller to release the funds earlier.But after 14 days the seller gets the money anyway,I may be wrong on this,but that what it seems to say.E bay came back and said the sale could not be cancelled according to the seller,so i assume the seller communicated with e bay but not me and the item would be with me in 7 days time.As it was a collection only  procedure,i cannot see how this will happen.Should I wait until said date has passed and then go down the goods not received path.I have never had this situation before,am I being scammed.I find this situation most unpleasant,auto assistant useless in this.Why cant we speak to a human for Gods sake.Any advice welcome.

Open an "Item not Received" dispute now. Escalate after 3 full days, or as soon as ebay tells you you can and ebay will refund you.
