I bought a mid century cabinet

The listing said that the postage was included but when I bought it had been changed. So I paid for the courier afterwards. However the seller is messing about and will not send the cabinet. He also listed it as collected which it wasn’t so I’m having trouble getting help.

i can’t find a way to contact eBay as it just keeps ending me round in circles. I’ve paid out over £100 pounds for this and he won’t give the money back. How do I get to a part of eBay where I can actually explain this.

If you paid via ebay checkout within 30 days look to open a not received case with ebay, and if seller doesn't respond within 3 days  look to go back into the case details and escalate the case to ebay

Re: I bought a mid century cabinet

The seller revised the listing seven times, including revising the postage terms twice - the second time being on 15 February, the day before the listing ended.

You can get your money back for the cabinet by opening an item not received case under eBay's money back guarantee. For items listed for collection you can do this after 7 days (even though technically you are at fault for not collecting it). However, if you paid the seller privately for delivery you will not be able to get this cost back through eBay.

If the seller revised your invoice through eBay to include the delivery cost you will get the whole amount funded. I'm not sure whether you can then still open the case after 7 days, or only after 30 days which is the normal period when items are delivered.

Re: I bought a mid century cabinet

Whoops - mental aberration - sorry, my last sentence was incorrect! When items are delivered buyers can open a case if their item hasn't arrived by the latest estimated delivery date. 30 days is the time limit to open one.

What confused me is that I don't know whether there is any estimated delivery date when the listing didn't include delivery, but the seller later revises the invoice to include this.

I think that if the seller revises the listing to include postage and the buyer buys after that (obviously), then ebay will provide an estimated delivery date in the normal way.
