Hi everyone,
I’m planning to list a mini excavator for £24,500 using the Classified Ad format. In the past, I’ve paid a listing fee of around £15.
However, when I go to list, it shows a £0.00 listing fee. I contacted eBay’s callback service, and they mentioned I would be charged a £15 fee after the item sells. But according to the fee details for business sellers, it looks like the listing fee should only be £8.69.
The page also mentions: "You can list using our Classified Ad format in select categories. In this format, there is no final value fee or regulatory operating fee, and the listing fee varies by category."
Can anyone confirm that, if I list under the Classified Ad format, I will only be charged the listing fee (either £8.69 or £15) and there won’t be any additional fees, such as percentage fees, involved?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You pay listing fee for classified ad, no other fees.
Do not end listing until you get paid, no ebay payments,
cash or bank transfer is best.

Thanks Tobias, Is it correct that I do not pay when listing but when the item sells? As it currently states £0.00.

You pay to list classified ad, regardless of whether it sells or not
Ebay will take fee from your linked bank account.
If you relist, you pay again.

Thanks, I just don't understand why it's telling me it's free to list when I try to do it. If it's a listing fee, I expect to be charged when I list. That's how it's always been.

Are you sure that it's being listed in Classified Ad format?
Whilst the Business, Office & Industrial category is a Classified Ad one, many sub categories aren't, so check to see if it's reverted to a plain fixed price Buy It Now listing format.
Edit to add: Your listing is showing as a Classified Ad, so no issues there.
