EBay’s refund policies and protection for buyers

End of September I paid for 2 collectible cards from the same seller (around £150) He was from the US and it took weeks to get here (UK). Once arrived only 1 card was in the box, the seller saw he still had the other card (admitting it straight away) apologised and offered a part Refund of £40 (not to the value of me buying 1 of the cards from another seller) long story short, I asked for a £55 refund or send me the card and he refused (he got 100% positive feedback) I got in touch with EBay and they did not offer any “part refund” and closed the case, i opened appeal and EBay shut down again…. Where is the buyer protection? (Yes the item had it) So I am giving the seller 24 hours notice till I leave negative feedback. Why are eBay not protecting the buyers when the seller is being unreasonable? I was not even asking for half or full refund…. Just enough to buy the card I am owed 😡

Sounds like you opened a not received case - you would lose because tracking etc would show 'delivered'.

Open a not as described case as you only received a part order and follow it through -

Ebay won't enforce part refunds, that is between you & seller.

You should have opened not as described & returned card for full refund.

Try your payment provider.

As seller is in USA, may complicate matters, but worth a try.
