Buyers protection fee

Im a seller and I’ve been charged for the “buyers protection fee “ , ebays rules state that its the buyer who should pay it , and not the seller, so why have i been charged for these extortionate fees?

Did you accept an offer?

If so, the offer is for the total amount that the buyer wishes to pay, so the buyer protection fee is taken off that (in reality it means that the seller pays it).

If seller makes an offer, ebay add BPF, so buyer sees total.

If buyer makes an offer, includes BPF, so seller gets less.

If you look at offer, it will show amount seller receives.

Ebay could make it clearer.
