I bought a Dewalt replacement 8.0AH 18V battery at the end of January and to be honest have hardly used it as i have numerous Dewalt 2.0AH. It just stopped working - dead - won't charge etc. I've tried emailing them and also contacting them through Ebay but it's been 10 days now and I haven't had any form of response etc. The products are supposed to be guaranteed for 10 years so they might as well have said 100 years if they don't answer anyones communication about faults. Feels like sellers can say anything they want on Ebay. Has anyone else had similar issues? And the fact you can't leave feedback after 60 days also means items that go faulty will never get reported as feedback for other Buyers to see .......

If they're offering a 10 year guarantee (and I'm really surprised that they are) then I'd email them or send them a letter (their contact details will be on their listings under business contact details) and ask them how to activate their guarantee.
Depending what they say, I'd threaten reporting them to Trading Standards and legal action.

Any warranty offered by any seller anywhere is only ever going to be as good as your ability to enforce it.
Even DeWalt don't offer a 10 year warranty on their batteries.
Are they a UK registered business seller?

You cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund. You'd be too late to claim from your payment provider, too.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then you can report the to Trading Standards ( never sure if this does any good, but it is somewhere to report bad selling practises) or Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.

Thanks for the reply - hardly seems with CAB for a £20battery but it’s the principle more than anything …. UK registered business

Thanks @flash42neal , you're very welcome, I really hope that you get somewhere with this, it is the principle of the matter when sellers make false promises on their listing.
