I'm so angry. I waited to escalate the case and all eBay have done is close it and are asking me to pay to return the fakes to the seller who will definitely resell them!   Returning is my only option if I want my money back, but I've been told this is illegal so I'm not keen.  I can't speak to anyone about it, it's the most frustrating experience ever  ... I purchased a cabinet from a selller Dec 2019. At the time, I was unable to collect the item due to a house move in the new year and the seller agreed to store the cabinet until Feb 2020 ("No worries", he said).   March 2020, we went into lockdown.......during which time, we stayed in touch and he was absolutely fine to continue to store the item.   As soon as lockdown #1 ended, I made contact to arrange collection.......no reply. A week later, I messaged again, I rang, I messaged.......this continued for months!   Unfortunately, I cannot find ANY of the emails that I sent, so I have no proof of any correspondence. Due to Covid, Ebay had low staffing numbers and I was unable to reach out to them for protection & by the time I realised that this seller was off the radar for real, I appealed to Paypal to reclaim my £1200......but my appeal was declined because of the time lapse.   People - is this not daylight robbery? I feel gutted that some faceless person not only has my cabinet, which he can go on to sell but he also has my hard earned, honest money.   Thanks for listening! M    ... View more

A buyer purchased an item from me last week. The item was packaged and dispatched using Special Delivery the same day. Ten hours after the item had been sent the buyer contacted me claiming 'I have not ordered this, do not send and refund immediately I have been hacked'. I of course explained the item had been send, gave tracking number and urged member to contact eBay.  To shorten the story somewhat; I myself contacted eBay the next morning when agents were available. The agent was fantastic and contacted the collection point to intercept the parcel and have it returned to me. All good so far. Item was returned to me thus preventing 'fraudulent collection'. I am however unhappy, not only have I got eveidene that the parcel was sent to the address eBay provided me with, via fully tracked delivery which shows as delivered, yet I'm forced to fully refund the 'hacked buyer'. I've no problem with refunding for the value of the item, however find it unfair that I have no 'seller protection'. I've been forced to pay the original delivery charge of £6.85 plus the fees I was charged by eBay. Unfair? I think so. I'm now in the region of £20.00 at a loss. Has anyone else had  experience of this? I also find it unusual that although the buyer claims to have been 'hacked' that way were able to access the 'hacked' account to tell me so. Hello,   I ordered two dresses but they were awful so wanted to return. Sent them back via MyHermes to the given address and it was confirmed as delivered. However the seller has said it's not arrived and wont give a refund. Since then they've deleted the items. Unfortunately I paid with card as they didn't accept PayPal. Can't contact eBay as the items don't exist and can't find a link to contact eBay about this as you need to click links from the items. Can anyone help? ... View more
