Buyer did not read my listing "Collect Only " correctly.  They bid, won and paid.  States they cannot collect.  I tried to help them out by packing the item which is very large and obtained quotes for freight.  Buyer states they will not pay freight.  Buyer owns the items as they have paid for them, so they should take responsibility for collection, but what is the actual position?  Are they in Breach of Contract if they do not collect?  Buyer should have taken the trouble to read the listing which was very clear, before bidding and comitting to purchase.   ... I ordered an item by mistake and few hours later I tried to cancel it, but the seller said it was too late. However, i was told that my item will get delivered on 4th of July, so its been almost a month and didn't get my package yet. The seller got the money and I left out with no package. Does anyone know how I can track down someone who bought a heavy item he had to collect, then couldn't as lockdown came.  I can't even remember when it was but i think in the last year.  I can't find the sale as Ebay no longer seems to be searchable beyond 6 months and he may have the same problem.  I had totally forgotten about it until I fell over the offending finishing press (bookbinding thing) and realised it was still lurking in my toolroom ... I have concerns about managed payments. The delay in receiving payments and paying for postage before eBay has finally paid the sellers money. I know a lot of my mates who have used ebay will no longer sell on ebay as marketplace and other sites won't be messing about with payments.    For me, I will not accept managed payments so  therefore  my account will be terminated when this becomes obligatory.  Somebody convince me otherwise.
