So i receive an automated email today from Ebay to say i have been operating outside their allowed processes because a seller who made a mistake has said i have been using extortion for an item he supplied incorrectly! I ordered a car exhaust based on my registration number, i then checked it with them and they confirmed it was the correct part, It arrived i gave it to my mechanic who went to fit and one whole section was wrong! I had to ask the mechanic to reuse the existing old part which he had to make good first. The car was due an MOT the next day plus i had to get to work. I contacted the seller and explained the situation, in full. He then said did i want a new part and i said no as i had to use the old part and if i had to employ the mechanic again it would cost me £40-50. he said well its that or we'll refund £13.00 (The whole exhaust was just under £100) i explained that was no help to me and i requested he refunded min £20 for inconvenience plus i now have to dispose of the wrong part. He said no way would he do that so leave whatever feedback you want. I left him the relevant feedback (an accurate despription of what happened), Next thing i know is i get the email from Ebay saying i tried to extort the seller and removing the feedback. what the hell????
