Misleading item description

Hello. How do I report an inaccurate item description to eBay in a current listing? I messaged the seller to amend his description over 24 hours ago, stating the reason the description was misleading, to no effect. Clicking on "Report this item" does not have options suitable and I'm worried that someone will purchase the item unknowing the actual brand decription is inaccurate/untrue, and worth far less than they may pay. Thank you.

It is good of you to try 

You have to use the REport this item or contact ebay but I doubt they will take much notice of one members report

It is up to the buyers really to know what they are buying and to be careful

If the item is not as described then they are covered by the ebay money back guarantee

You realised it was not right and so should others

I understand that and appreciate your reply. The problem is that its a watch that is a Baume and its advertised as a Baume & Mercier, which are 2 totally separate watch companies and were not affiliated to each other (Baume went bust in the mid-60s and until that point had a patent which would not allow Baume & Mercier to sell in the UK). Anyone who only has a limited amount of watch knowledge could pay a vastly inflated price believing the seller saying its a Baume & Mercier. Thanks for your help.

There is nothing you can do except try the report this item or try and contact ebay but they wont usually take one members word/. It really is up to buyers to know what they are buying especially if it is an expensive item

Then personally I think that stinks seeing as the seller is listing themselves as a business and with a title indicating a vintage watch supplier. Any vintage watch seller who is knowingly (and from the refusal to respond to my eBay message it IS knowingly) attempting to sell a Baume watch as a Baume & Mercier watch should be done for fraud. Hopefully no-one naive will fall for it.

if they are a business in the UK then you can contact Citizens advice and report it and they may pass it on to Trading standards.
