For the last few days when i refund a buyer that has claimed their item didn't arrive, i am no longer having any fees credited from ebay, i am having to pay the full refund amount from my available balance, so a £5 item fee of £1 i received net £4 ebay got £1 fees i then have to pay the full £5 back to the buyer, so am losing out twice, sent the item, then refund them more that i actually received in payment. eBay need to sort this out, they are fleecing the sellers at every turn, most of my items are low value and it works out that approx 25% of the total price i have to pay to ebay as fees! ... I have sent only 1 message in over week and have a rating of 463 at 100%, so why on earth am I restricted from sending messages and get the dreaded: "You have exceeded the maximum number of messages you can send per day"?  This has got to be a bug!!! ... View more

I am trying to get help for faulty garden furtniture. Discoloured very quickly and the company have it marked as out for dispatch even though I received it in March. I sold an item in English on the uk eBay site but my buyer was in Germany. All his messages were in English. I'm pretty sure he's requested a refund but it's hard to tell exactly what's going on because the form is in German. I can't find how to do this in English! I listed an item on eBay.co.uk as collection or uk delivery only. The winning bidder then told me he’s in another country but he would organise a courier to collect at his expense. I wasn't particularly happy but I did agreed to this. Now he has the item he claims it is broken and wants a refund. Who would have to pay any return postage? Ebays policies say the seller might have to pay but as far as I can see they don't specify when - in this case the buyer effectively chose the buyer collects option and presumably it would be his responsibility to return the item? ... I already agreed the new price with the seller for 4 items, and the seller asked me to send them the request, so they can accept my request, than I can make the payment accordingly.
