Open letter to (Ebay Management) I have asked for assistance as there are now two duplicated charges for Import VAT, for differing amounts, and Parcel Force are asking for handling charges ; further charges from hmrc should never have been raised as I paid you on purchase. I have been advised by the couriers by telephone that I have little or no chance of recovering any overpayment. If I take their advice and return the two items to sender uncollected, no doubt I shall incur further cost, unless you step in and assist. There is something wrong with the system that prevails if you have an arrangement to collect on behalf of hmrc, yet a courier like Parcel Force can claim for the Import VAT again, and for a handling charge. This is urgent because theterms and conditionsofParcel Force state that they will charge storage costs after 10 days. Please know advise what assistance you can or will give me to ensure that do not lose out here financially. At the momentI shall lose out no matter what I do.
