dull and cold here so will be lighting a fire shortly.

Quick question - What do you all store in you attics   ????

I thought I only kert a few personal momentos and xmas deccy's but ohhhhhhh no, went up there this week to clear everything out and have done 5 trips to the skip 😮

There are baby clothes going back to my eldest (now 24) ,old toys ranging from teddys to train sets and tiny tears to typewriters,boxes upon boxes of old school reports and books (mr stans,mine and our 6 kids ),endless amounts of hand-made knickknacks they have made over the years.Material,tiles,paint,wallpaper,wood,shelving (you know the might be useful one day kinda stuff).

So my question really is what to keep and what to sell/throw!!!

Hold a boot sale in your car park Stan. Fiver a pitch and finishing time at opening time! You could have a bacon but tie stand too.

That sounds just like our loft stan....all treasure of course :^O

but we've got bits of carpet too,just in case we need to repair any at any time.......

Can't even remember the original, long gone carpets or what rooms they were in :^O

none of our stuff is worth selling so I can't help but good luck and when you find the priceless painting let us know will ya? 😉

There's loads of old masterpieces that the childre have done twishy.........................but think they are only priceless to me :-x:^O

I think our attics must be all about the same...kids toys, school reports, bags of old wallpaper, baby crib, puschair..probably all mouldering away...

Now I think I need to go & have a look, it's long overdue for a ' clearing out '  :O:-x

nothing in out attic, well there might be but its not ours if it is  lol

ceilingstoo high to get up to with my little ladder and theres plenty of storage space for us 2

i try to do a clear out every couple of years and am ready for one soon

Hello everyhoo!! it's a wee bit cold here today. I have my leopard hat with the ears on at the mo to warm me brains.

Stan.....I have a care home for old teddies:-D the car boot sounds great...it is the Kings Head your pub isn't it? You said you  were going to go up in the attice, well it serves ya right!!:^O see, ya just keep stuffing things up that hole in the ceiling over years and years and see where it gets ya....I bet you spent ages going "aaawww look what .... made when she was 5" and "ooooh I remember when I brought her home from hospital in this" etc etc:^O

Attic/Loft  😐

I have never set foot in ours in all the time I have lived here ....... which is nearly all my life  :^O 

I have poked the top of my head in about twice  & I know the christmas decs live up there but goodness knows what else & I have no intention of finding out 🙂

Still have various toys from over the years & most baby bedding stuffed in cupboards ....... maybe if I cleared some out I would have more wool storage 😄  but I can't part with them (memories :-x)

I even still have all my cloth nappies in a cupboard & didn't even use them on youngest :^O

My they were expensive at the time  😮 I remember being told to buy the best qualitiy ones & when I went to use them they were so thick for a new born I couldn't fold them small enough & had to buy another pack of cheaper thinner ones  :8}

Yes CK I have yours too - all these babies to come - it will be luverly.  Are you crocheting like a mad thing?

At the hospital in Dundee they have the gyny/obstetrics/labour ward next to haemotology - a real circle of life.

I'm in bed, it's a nice sunny day here, but cold. All the windows open - I can hear all the bikers roaring by who use our country road soon as it's a nice dry day.
