"Tell me about it - that woman at Endeavour House really pishes me off."
Is that the Ipswich councilor who earns more than the prime minister?

they just seem to have wasted lots of money here in yarmouth with the outer harbour 😞
our library has a big refit last year, and as its well used, especially the bank of computers especially by the kids and the foreigners that have settled here,

Its sad about the harbour Towery. I remember when that was first mentioned and it was supposed to make GY compete with Felixstowe shame.
Also remember when I worked in Export Shipping that loads of our stuff left through GY - was sad when everything moved to Felixstowe - wasn't the same and loads of the people i dealt with every day lost their jobs.

Our library is well used. We're in an area of deprivation (said in best ex-school governor voice) and loads of children use the library for homework research both in books and online. They seem to forget not all families have internet access or are likely to be able to afford it for any time soon.
We looked at the boys library cards - they've had them since they were first registered and they were under 1 year old. Use to visit every week - they'd sit happily and read whilst I got to choose my books and then they'd choose new books each week. Like to think thats why they are both good readers - tis still unusual for teenage males to be bookworms and mine definately are.

mine have always known what they wanted to be
from they were about 7 or 8 and have worked soley towards that, it always worried me they would change their minds, but so far they havent

That's good Merlin. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up 😄
My parents always said not to worry about it and keep my options open. So that's what I did.
Unfortunately, in this current qualification culture we have, I would not get very far. A shame though as I give my all to every job but sadly, were I to go back to work now (And that's off the agenda for now), it would barely pay for childcare.

Pops back in to see if the bar's still open 😄

i dont know how they managed to work it out
i would never have dreamed of asking them (in a serious way) what they wanted to do
they just always did
kirsty wrote for the school newspaper at 9, and just kept on going, she wanted to be a journalist forever, and made all her extra curricular activities based on that
bradleys interest are maths & physics ( ihave no idea what he talks about half the time, luckily OH does)
Lolly is more like me, likes to create things
they are so sensible
i do wonder where they get it from
