Good luck CB - as other said, take it easy.
Stroppy I really hope you get sorted as I know you value your job, but if not, I would really consider going to the press about this.
Bad enough for any employer to treat disability like this, but yours really should know better. Blatant abuse of the DDA by on organisation that is supposed to promote it????????????????

I'm another one hoping that CB is alright after her first day back at work. Just wish she wouldn't keep us in suspense.

I made this quilt block today. It's for a Wild Meadow Quilt being made as a gift by the committee of SW Quilters to the out going chairwoman. We all make a wild flower block & the vice chairman puts it together & quilts it. It will be kept secret from the chairwoman until the AGM next April.

What a lovely gift it will be when its all put together , your block is stunning Maggie 🙂

Thank you. Not sure whether to put more stitching on it or leave it to the person who quilts it.

I think its lovely as it is , once the background is quilted the flower will stand out beautifully 🙂

That quilt square is lovely Maggie.
Hope that CB has had a good day at work.
As for my meeting - I am still employed but the management are aware of just how close I am to telling them to get stuffed. I had a solution to every excuse that they made. I have promises of things being sorted, but it remains to be seen if actions actually follow.
Had an interesting discussion re lone working - they like the outer doors to be locked at 4:30pm, I say that this is unsafe as if I was ill or had a fall the ambulance crew would be unable to get in to help me. They were concerned that since my "cupboard" is at the far end of the office that I can't see if someone comes in to the building. I gave them two solutions - sort out the reception area so that I can work there easily outside of office hours, or fit a motion sensor with a very loud buzzer that will alert anyone in the building if some-one comes in to the lobby area.

Well said that lady.
No Sign of CB yet, I bet she has fallen asleep. Bless her.

Well done in telling them straight Stroppy. I hope that they sort things out for you.

Well, I'm here darlings! to be honest I'm pretty amazed at how it went, I managed fairly well, until about 11am, I was finished by midday but that last hour was a real struggle, my foot was sore and my back was killing me as I was walking properly...still a rest and a wee nap this afternoon and I feel OK, how about that then?
Stroppy, I'm glad you had them running rings around themselves! good for you. Just keep on at them until you are satisfied things are OK. Honestly, it's disgraceful isn't it really?
Ed, love the piccy of me asleep....how did you guess har har har!!!!! xx
well at least I'm still alive...
