Weekly Chat with the eBay Community Team- 29.05.24 @2pm

Hi everybody!

 

The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm on Wednesday. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible. 

 

Please ask your questions in the thread below. In order to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, we ask you to have one question per post. Of course, you can make as many posts as you like in the Chat- the more the merrier!

 

Our eBay Community Team is made up of anita@ebay,  marco@ebay and dave@ebay . Between us, we have knowledge in Buying, Selling, Fulfilment, Payments, and the Community itself. Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support. 

 

To ask your question, click Reply in the lower-right corner of this post, type your question, and click Reply between 2pm and 3pm. The community team will answer each incoming question in chronological order, and will quote the original question in each answer. 

 

Please note that any reply without a question to the community team or discussion replies may be removed from the chat. We want to keep on track to get through as many questions as possible. We welcome all discussion to be moved to the discussion boards.

Marco,

As stated above.

its happening on 100% of the items.

So just look at any one of the sold emails that ebay have sent out in the last month.  Any one of them, they are all wrong.  That will give you the example

This depends on each scenario, without looking at the actual feedback I wouldn't be able to confirm this, but sometimes the wording of the feedback is against policy, but the experience is still negative, so that while we might remove the comments due to inappropriate language, for example, the score will remain.

I'm really not sure how you expect me to have copy of the email sent to the buyer to screen shot it.  Maybe you can advise?

I do not accept that you are unable to deal with the feedback removal here on community pages, this is just another way of ignoring my request.

 

As stated if this continues to be ignored then I will be taking legal action.

 

 


@pauuk.35za36, Marco didn't actually action the feedback himself.

 

 

It was sent over to a team for a review, it was something he may have done as an exception.

The official process is to appeal it via the Seller help, which then goes directly to the Feedback appeal team as they are the ones dealing with all feedback appeals.

 

If you believe the error was made when reviewing appeal, it can be escalated to review by the team once again. It sounds like you spoke to the general support, who then escalated it to a Feedback appeal team. They may have seen your point and agreed on what you are saying, but the Feedback appeal team is the one who made the decision and if the feedback wasn’t still removed it means it wasn’t removable after further reviews.
