cancelling a cancellation

Hey everyone,

I bought a Razer BlackShark Pro gaming headset, but after not hearing from the seller for two days, I thought they weren’t going to ship it, so I sent a cancellation request.

Now the seller replied (after 2 days) saying I should cancel the cancellation, but I can’t find any option to do that — it only says “Waiting for the seller to respond.”

From what I understand, only the seller can click “Decline” to keep the order active, right? I still want the headset, but I’m worried eBay will auto-approve the cancellation if they don’t respond in time.

Can anyone confirm if I’m right about this, or if there’s any way for me to withdraw my cancellation request manually?

Thanks!

Re: cancelling a cancellation

There's nothing you can do.   As you say, the seller has to refuse the cancellation and then the transaction can proceed.

Re: cancelling a cancellation

If it were me, I would not request to cancel. I would wait until one day after the estimated delivery window had closed and open an Item Not Received Case. If the Seller doesn't refund within 3-days ask eBay to step in and help. An INR protects you as a Buyer and dings the Seller's account for bad practices so protects others. You can leave Feedback to protect other Buyers too.

If they Seller does not have the item they should cancel for this reason. Again this will ding their account and help keep eBay running more smoothly for other Buyers. Good luck!
