Phantom Listings

Although I have given up with the notion of selling on here, thanks to Simple Delivery and compulsory pre-paid indemnities, I still occasionally buy collectibles.   More than once, in recent weeks, I have made a bid only to see the listing completely disappear with no traceable history of it ever having been on sale.   Is this just bad luck or have other buyers noticed this happening?

That's most odd and no,  nobody else has reported this.....  yet.

Will certainly keep an eye open for any more reports of this !  🤔

Perhaps the seller was selling a banned item or their whole account was banned?

Thanks. It wasn't a banned item, just a regular Dinky Toy. Yes, they
could have been banned I suppose in the intervening 6 or so days left for
the listing to run. However, I am concerned that this has happened twice
now with no word from Ebay, the seller or any history to show that I ever
bid upon it.

I am more inclined to believe folk are somehow deleting selling items that
already have bids on them, something I thought Ebay did not allow to happen.
