Hi folks.
Why does it take 10 days or longer to despatch an item that can easily be put in an envelope from an address in the UK ,I can't prove it but I've got a feeling certain sellers are taking orders then ordering from China then despatching the item to you when they receive it ,ano alot people don't want to order from China myself included and I think sellers know this so there using UK addresses, has any other buyers experienced this? I ordered led note pads for my granddaughter on the 10th of December and immediately it went to dispatched untracked,so I'm thinking we'll that's great I will get it for Christmas ,then I looked at my purchases and now it's saying seller has only dispatched it on Saturday just there but now tracked it it won't arrive until the 27th it's so annoying, can eBay not get something in place it needs to be dispatched by a certain amount of time,or is this a loophole that sellers are using to get round this by saying it's despatched untracked,it would be interesting too see if anyone else is experiencing this

there is no reason for it to take that long. What does the dispatch time on the advert state?
What does the deliver by date state?
If it has not been delivered within the time frame open a not delivered case.
HOWEVER, it may well be this is coming from China (but not advertised as such). Once it is turned around into the UK postage system it will show.

I've had a similar issue this month - ordered a bluray from "m#sicm#gpie"..no sign of it after 10 days, contacted them to be told that "they had to order it in as it wasn't in stock".
Amazed that this sort of practice is allowed on here....it shouldn't be.

As above you need to check the dispatch/ handling time shown in the advert.
If this is excessive there's a good chance it could be coming from further afield.
All purchases have a receive by date.
