I tried to buy a book today and got the message 'The seller isn't accepting bids or offers from you ' I looked up what that message meant and found out that it means the seller had blocked me. So I looked up what previous orders I made from that seller and found out that it was one I left negative feedback on. The last book I ordered from them got held up by Royal Mail and took nine days to get to me, and I said so in my feedback. EBay kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to leave negative feedback , and persuading me to discuss the problem with the seller, but never told me that the seller could block me for it. I was never told that the seller had blocked me, and only found out today. I'm now wondering if a seller is allowed to block a buyer over just ONE negative review over something that wasn't their fault.

I, for one, will be intersted to know what Rules or Regulations exist stating that an online seller must sell to anyone or everyone.

That's interesting. Was it because you had a medical exemption from wearing a face covering during Covid?
Could you possibly share a link to the case as I want to be sure I am complying with the law should anyone on my blocked list tries to sue me.

Legislation is not law. It's rules for the corporate.
What utter rubbish!

Link doesn't exist. We want a link to your actual case being reported. I would have thought it would also have hit the news.

Sorry, I can find no reference to it on the link you provided.
Can you advise the court the case was submitted to and I will check the court records. I am interested in the points of law whereby you successfully sued the retailer as this could have implications for any seller using the blocked bidder/buyer facility on eBay.

Degenerated into a 'wind up' which is an insult to those who feel, rightly or wrongly, that they have a genuine grievance.

If i understand the legalities of what your saying to be sovereign means that you dont recognise the laws of the land, which is fine but that doesnt place you above the laws of the land as decided by the Crown and peoples democratially elected parliament of the UK.
You have a contract with your country it is called a birth certificate, you are therefore obligated to follow the laws of this land or join the democratic process to change them.

The link don't work. Well find another . His name is Peter Stone Sovereign.
I don't know much of his work but he teaches who you are.
Legal is by contract, contract is only by consent. To break that contract
would be illegal.
No corporate can prejudice the people in any way. And if thay do, they may
come across one of the 15k people that i know, who know how to enforce
mal-non-miss-feasance on to over zelous corporations in the capacity of the
Man. Aka the personal persona who runs any company. Never will you hear
about this in the court room. As the room is just a venue, not the court.
The court is the paperwork.

Sorry, I really can't be bothered.

I remember a bloke dressed as a wizard telling me this stuff at a festival before. The law only applies if you have concented and he hadn't. Anyway about half an hour later I saw the police leading him away in handcuffs so clearly they did not agree. Very nice bloke anyway, hope nothing too bad happened to him.

Oh great, we've found the freemen nutter conspiracy theorists. None of it is true, just insane ramblings of the deranged, ignore their nonsense.

Just reading this thread and your attitude. I've blocked you from ever buying from me. Wonder how many others have also done so.
15-09-2024 8:41 PM
Who else has just blocked them from purchasing from them? I sure have.

I don't understand why buyers, of which I am one, I'm not a seller (yet) do not use common sense.
I purchased an item a while back and when it had not arrived around three days after the EDD, I politely messaged her to ask if she had managed to post it yet but said that it was fine if she hadn't.
It turned out that she found it in her car and that her husband was supposed to have posted it several days beforehand on his way to work but had forgot to. She apologised profusely and posted it on the same day!
I left positive feedback because she deserved it and I did not mark her metrics down for late delivery because that would have been unfair as THINGS HAPPEN!
Buyers cannot seem to grasp the fact that sellers are only human and this is Ebay NOT Amazon!
I feel for sellers who do their utmost to please their buyers but are faced with so many problematic customers.
Oh and as for those who don't read every word of the description instead of just looking at the pictures and heading and then complain about something that was clearly written there...that blows my mind.

I forgot to say on my previous post (rant) about buyers using common sense, that applies to realising that sellers are NOT responsible for how long Royal Mail or any other courier take and that they should have the sense to realise that the EDD is often completely unrealistic, at least it seems to me to be so.

Wish all my buyers were like you!

If a seller gets a return they have to pay outward post and return post and this gets expensive.
So they will often block the buyer so it doesnt happen again.
Also they value their feedback so again they often block bhuyers who leave a neg.
A seller doesnt need a reason to block someone.
